Which Witch Film Festival will take place in Glasgow with three screenings.

 

What is the witch? An evil destroyer, a charming genius, or a freak? However, a witch always seen as 'different', and this difference may not have been a positive thing throughout human history, as the witch-hunt has never gone away. We have seen women, or not only women, targeted simply for being different or enshrined and stripped of their selves for being different. As a reflection of reality, cinema may reflect the changing of the 'witch'.

 

Through three film screening events, the festival will focus on the disaster of the "witch" identity symbol for women, reminding audiences to reflect on the stigmatisation of women in modern society. In addition, the filmmakers will be invited to Participate in a Q&A session both online and offline, which will be a great opportunity to discuss the feminist concerns of the films in depth.
